‘Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav’; DIPR Kathua organises cultural Bonanza

 

Kathua : The Kathua unit of Department of Information & Public Relations ( ( DIPR) organised a Cultural Bonanza at Border Tehsil Hiranagar on Tuesday – the first day of its week long special event series being held as part of ‘ Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav’.

The programme was organised in association with management of Maa Kali Qila Jasmergarh Temple, Hiranagar- which witnessed huge footfall of devotees in view of ongoing Navtartri festival.

Artists of District Information Center, Kathua presented Hindi, Dogri, Punjabi devotional and patriotic songs, besides sensitising people on do’s & don’ts of Covid-19 through special songs on Covid appropriate behaviour.

The popular devotional and patriotic songs presented by artists received repeated and thunderous applause of the gathering. The devotional Dogri bhajans presented by Troupes was also liked by the devotees and other people present there.

The management of Maa Kali Qila Jasmergarh Temple appreciated the efforts of DIPR for sensitising people on varied issues, especially the contribution of our freedom fighters in Indian independence.

Pertinently, the District Information Centre, Kathua is organising Week Long special events to mark the celebrations under ‘Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav’ in border tehsil Hiranagar and pay tribute to the heroes of Indian freedom struggle.
