Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav (India@75) celebration: Webinar on swachhta, clean & green environment held at Udhampur

 

UDHAMPUR : To raise the awareness among the general public about COVID-19Appropriate behaviour and Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav (India@75) celebration, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting Field Outreach Bureau Udhampur in coordination with District Information Centre, today organized Webinar on the theme Swachhta, clean and green environment, here on Monday.

The Webinar was attended by Neha Jalali, Deputy Director, Regional Outreach Bureau, UT (J&K) and Press Information Bureau Jammu; Khusheed Yousuf, Field Publicity Officer, Field Outreach Bureau Udhampur; District Information Officer, Ateeksha Sethi; Khushal Gupta, District Youth Officer NYK; Jugnu Gupta President Shine Youth Club Doda and Anjali Sharma, National Youth Volunteer , Udhampur

In her address, DD Regional Outreach Bureau, UT JK, welcomed the participants and threw light on Azaadi ka Amrut Mahotsav and briefed how the public as well as private media can play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between the Government and public. She laid stressed on the various schemes initiated by Government on swachta mission.

During the webinar, the speakers from government departments and private sector highlighted the importance of Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav. The key note address was presented by Khushal Gupta, District Youth Officer NYK. He emphasized on the Swachta Pakhwada campaign organized in different parts of Udhampur district to celebrate Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav.

Jugnu Gupta, President Shine Youth Club Doda also briefed about the challenges faced on the ground in the implementation of Swachhta mission. He appreciated the efforts of NYK as youth play an important role, especially in villages to motivate people on cleanliness.

Anjali Sharma, National Youth Volunteer, Udhampur also shared her views about the ways through which rural populace can be motivated to imbibe Swachhta in their life. She said that the best villages should be awarded for its beautification and cleanliness.

The vote of thanks was presented by District Information Officer Udhampur Ateeksha Sethi. She stressed on the need to sensitize the people about the Covid-19 appropriate behavior. She appealed the participants to follow CAB in letter and spirit and celebrate the Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav with zeal and dedication to make the clean environment initiative as a movement.
