Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav: RDD Ganderbal held Pad Yatra

 

Ganderbal: As part of the ‘Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav’ celebrations, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj today held Pad Yatra at Ganderbal and Kangan blocks of the district.

The Pad Yatra was organized by the Rural Development Department Ganderbal in which staff members of the department and local Panchayat members participated.

Amid chanting slogans for social causes like Nasha Mukt Bharat, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, Communal harmony, unity and integrity of the country and carrying national flag, banners and placards the Pad Yatra went through the lanes and roads of these blocks with strict adherence to precautionary measures against Covid-19.

Assistant Commissioner Development Ganderbal, Bilal Mukhtar said that to celebrate the 15th August 2022 (Independence Day) that marks 75 years of freedom of India from the British rule, the Government has proposed several programmes at Block levels under the aegis of ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mohatsav’.
