Aligarh: B Tech (Mechanical Engineering) students of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), Mohammad Farhan Khan, Musharraf Khan and Ahmad Faraz Badar have received the Satyendra Kumar Kashyap scholarships from Aligarh Education Endowment Fund (AEEF) USA. These students were identified based on merit.

This year, USA based AMU alumnus, Dr Shaheer Khan (Secretary AEEF) and Prof M. M. Sufyan Beg, Principal ZHCET and Chairman, Alumni Affairs Committee distributed the scholarships during an award ceremony organized by Aligarh Education Endowment Fund (www.aeef.us) at the Alumni Affairs Committee Office, AMU.

“This scholarship was instituted by Ms. Deepali Kashyap in remembrance of her father, Late Mr. S K Kashyap, for Mechanical Engineering students so that academic high-achievers who need money for education do not face hurdles due to their financial conditions,” said Dr Shaheer Khan.

He pointed out that AEEF, a charitable organization founded by AMU alumni and well-wishers in USA to serve the educational needs of the underprivileged communities in India, is funding a variety of educational projects, ranging from school to post-graduate levels.

Prof M M Sufyan Beg appreciated the generous efforts made by the alumni group in instituting such an outreach scheme to benefit the meritorious students.
