B2V-4: 32 VOs visit Panchayat Halqas of Shopian

Inaugurate various dev. Projects; take stock of dev & welfare issues

SHOPIAN : As part of Back to Village-4, 32 Visiting Officers today visited various Panchayat Halqas of the district.

Among other Officers, Special Secretary, Ashiq Hussain Lily was Visiting Officer at Zawoora while, Chief Engineer, JKPTCL, Qazi Hashmat visited Manloo B at Keller and Khurshid Ahmad Sanai Additional Secretary, Social welfare Department was visiting officer at Batmuran and held activities as per the schedule.

The Visiting officers remained engaged in public interactions, listening to public issues and took part in convergence meetings with frontline workers and sought data on a variety of development parameters during day one of the third phase.

They took stock of issues and grievances on the occasion besides inaugurating projects of public use including CSC complexes, Roads, Drains etc. Officers toured Panchayat Halqas and inspected development activities and sought feedback from the general public on the effectiveness of welfare schemes as well as developmental activities being executed in their respective areas.

Officers of various departments briefed about the benefits of various centrally sponsored and other welfare schemes of their departments for awareness of the general public, so that they can avail the benefits of these schemes to stand on their own legs.

They urged people to ensure maximum participation and full cooperation in the on-going B2V4 programme.

Golden Cards, Baby kits under BBBP, Sports kits, Land passbooks,and various benefits and services were also provided among the beneficiaries of these areas by the concerned visiting officers and officials.

Visiting officers also made inspections of Schools, Government offices, AWCs, and other institutions during their visit.
