B2V4 kick-starts across 97 Panchayats at Anantnag
ANANTNAG : Back to Village 4th (B2V-4) programme, commenced from today in Anantnag with programme kick-started across 97 Panchayats spanning 6 community development blocks under first phase in the district.
Meanwhile, all 335 Panchayats of the district shall be covered in three phases during this B2V4 programme.
Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Anantnag, Dr Basharat Qayoom said that during the training programme all the visiting officers were directed to ensure that all verticals of the program are thoroughly executed so that the aim of holding the program is achieved.
He said that the back to village program is aimed to be action oriented and several tangible outputs are expected from the program.
Dr Basharat said that Gram Panchayat level planning will be at the core of the program in line with the wishes of the people. He said the program will also be a forum to evaluate the implementation of demands voiced in the previous programs. He said that while most welfare schemes have achieved saturation, the program will allow the administration to visualize the implementation on the ground level and design interventions for any gap areas that are identified.
The DC during his interaction with the visiting officers laid emphasis on ensuring identification of candidates to be enrolled under self-employment schemes and those to be imparted skill development training.
Regarding issuance of land passbooks, the DC said that the district plans to distribute more than 20,000 land passbooks during the ensuing program.
He said that representatives from Revenue department have been deployed to the Panchayats to brief the people regarding Aapki Zameen Aapki Nigraani, land passbooks and other e-services being provided by the Revenue department. He said that awareness regarding other G2C services will also be provided.
During the B2V4 programme, the visiting officers were seen interacting with members of the Gram Sabha. Discussion on GPDP formulation, distribution of land passbooks, inspection of public offices and inspection of works taken up under various CSS, B2V and other schemes, inspection of Amrit Sarovar projects, awareness on Self Employment scheme, feedback on welfare schemes were some of the activities in vogue in various panchayats of the district.
On the sidelines, the DC also chaired the training session held today at Dak Bungalow for the visiting officers who shall be deployed in the second phase in Anantnag covering more than 120 Panchayats.
The training was imparted by master trainers including ACR Anantnag, Dy. Director Statistics and Evaluation, BDO HQ and others.
During the training, the Visiting Officers were given detailed directions about the schedule to be followed during the two day programme. They were informed that feedback must be solicited from the local population regarding the implementation of the works identified in the previous back to village programs.
