Back to School: Akshaya Patra serves meals to 120,000 Children across 1,272 government & government-aided schools
Bengaluru – As schools across Karnataka welcome students back for the academic year 2024-25, The Akshaya Patra Foundation is pleased to announce the resumption of the mid-day meal service under the PM POSHAN Abhiyan in Bengaluru. Starting today, over 120,000 children in 1,272 government & government-aided schools, will benefit from nutritious meals prepared in our four centralised kitchens located in Rajajinagar, Vasanthapura, Guniagrahara, and Jigani.
Adhering to stringent safety protocols and local government guidelines, today’s menu featured a nourishing meal of Bisibelebath, Fried Avalaki/Cornflakes, and delicious Semiya (Shavige) Payasam. The Bisibelebath, rich with mixed vegetables and ghee, is designed to supply essential nutrients, while the delectably sweet Semiya Payasam offers both energy and a delightful finish to the meal.
