Bandipora ISM organizes awareness programme at BSF Sector Headquarters

 

Bandipora: The Department of Ayush (ISM) district Bandipora Thursday organized an awareness programme at DIG Headquarters (BSF) Bandipora.

The camp was inaugurated by DIG Headquarters, D.S. Bisht.

During the camp, the BSF Personnel were made aware of Covid-19 preventive measures and vaccination besides immunity booster medicines were also distributed among the 950 soldiers and other workers of BSF headquarters.

The ISM District Nodal officer Dr. Reyaz Ahmad Khan while speaking on the occasion said that the key objective of conducting awareness camps is to disseminate information regarding various preventive measures of COVID-19 so that the people can strengthen their immune system. He said proper awareness plays a key role in combating Covid-19 pandemic.

Dr. Khan stressed on use of masks, hand hygiene, maintaining social distance, respiratory hygiene, taking balanced diet, exercising daily and yoga. He said that the immune booster medicines are being distributed as per protocol issued by the Ministry of AYUSH Government of India and following the direction of Director Indian Systems of Medicine J&K, Dr. Mohan Singh.

Medical Officers present on the occasion also threw light on various preventive measures, role of immune boosters in COVID-19 pandemic and stressed upon enhancing the body’s natural defense system to maintain optimum health.
