Beti Bachao Beti Padao : Self defence training programme organised at GGHSS Kishtwar

Kishtwar: To empower girl students to defend themselves, a 3 days long self defence training programme commenced today here at Government Girls Higher Secondary School Kishtwar under the aegis of flagship Beti Bachao Beti Padao (BBBP)Scheme.

The training programme was organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports on the directions of Deputy Commissioner, Ashok Sharma and under the guidance of District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Kharati Lal Sharma and under supervision of Nodal Officer BBBP Anoop Kumar.

About 70 girl students of the school took part in the training session on the first day.

Physical Education Master Shahnawaz Qazi, PET Zorawar Singh and other trainers imparted the training in self-defence techniques to the girls. They taught them the utilization of the daily use materials like the pencil, pen, water bottle, sharpner, bag etc in their defense against the attackers to the best of their ability and thereby protecting themselves in the time of need.
