Beti Bachao Beti Padhao awareness prog held at Kallar Morha Balakote, Mendhar, Mahila Shakti Kendra

Balakote: An awareness programme on “Beti Bachao Beti Padhao” was today organised here at Kallar Morha Balakote, Mendhar, Mahila Shakti Kendra (MSK) Poonch.

District Programme Officer, Dr. Mohd. Tanveer, BDC Chairman, PRI Members besides other prominent citizens were present on the occasion.

District Programme Officer JKICDS, Dr. Mohammad Tanveer, discussed the scheme and added that Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao (Save the girl child, educate the girl child) is a campaign of the Government of India that aims to generate awareness and improve the efficiency of welfare services intended for girls in India.

Through Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, the government aims to generate awareness of women’s issues. The government also wishes to improve the efficiency of the delivery of services for women.

While speaking on the occasion MSK Poonch Team members imparted awareness and explained the main motto of MSK of empowering women of rural areas by sensitizing them about women welfare schemes like BBBB, Sukanaya Samridhi Yojana, PMMVY, SAG Ujjwala, Swadhar Greh, One Stop Centre, Women helpline 181 etc.
