BGS Gleneagles Global Hospital Launches Nutrition Fiesta: A Health and Wellness Extravaganza on World Nutrition Day 2023

Bengaluru  – BGS Gleneagles Global Hospital is proud to announce the launch of an innovative nutrition program – Nutrition Fiesta: A Health and Wellness Extravaganza 2023 on the occasion of World Nutrition Day, observed on May 28th. This program aims to promote healthy eating habits and enhance mental and physical well-being among individuals. Over the next six months, BGS Gleneagles Global Hospital will roll out a series of initiatives focusing on six key themes, led by Chief Dietitian Ms. Karthigai Selvi A and the Lead of Community Initiatives Ms. Chethana R.

The program is designed to engage and educate the local community, including nearby villages, apartments, and homes. Through interactive exhibitions, informative sessions, and engaging activities, BGS Gleneagles Global Hospital aims to create awareness about the significance of nutritious eating habits and inspire positive changes in lifestyle.

Speaking about the key highlights of the program, Karthigai Selvi, Chief Dietitian, said, “As a nation, we are progressing at top speed. Skilled manpower is our strength. With these opportunities come challenges, and mental health is one of the biggest challenges. Food (nutrition intake) is a major contributor to balancing physical and mental health. The program is focused on this balance and also on raising awareness of improving access to affordable, sustainable, and seasonal healthy food choices. The program offers six themes over the next six months: Diabetic Recipes, Healthy Recipes for Fitness Adventure, Immune Boosters, Healthy Quick Recipes for Working Women, It’s Time to Change Your Cholesterol – Let’s Challenge!, and Gluten-Free Recipes to promote diversity and inclusivity in nutrition.”
