Bharti Foundation celebrated72ndRepublic Dayvirtually across 183 Satya Bharti Schools

 

New Delhi: The patriotic fervor warmed up the cold winter morning as students and teachers from the safety of their homes along with local community members, took part in the 72ndRepublic Day celebrations. The event was organized by Bharti Foundation maintaining all government guidelines and social distancing norms across 183Satya Bharti Schools insix states. This year theRepublic Day celebrationswas very different from last year, the hosting of the flag and singingof the National Anthem took place in the presence of maximum 2 to 3 teachers with not more than 1 to 2 community members such as Sarpanch / SMC member.

Although students participated online, such celebrations are the part of our Foundation’s effort to develop a strong sense of patriotism and encourage the values of unity and integrity in the heart of every teacher and student.

The vibrant young students partook in virtual cultural program where role-plays and skits narrated the important instances of the Indian Freedom Movement.The Foundation also leveraged the platform by organizing drawing competition for students from class I to III and essay writing on Republic Day for students of class IV onwards. Top 3 essays from each class was declared winners.

Volunteers from Bharti Airtel Limited, Bharti AXA Life Insurance Indus Towers Limited, Bharti Enterprises, Bharti Realty and Centum attended the virtual celebrations and were also the jury member for different competitions held on the occasion.
