Bharti Foundation trained Teachers and Principals from 20 Government Schools in Bengaluru, Karnataka under School Excellence Program

Bangalore, Karnataka: Bharti Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Bharti Enterprises, in partnership with Karnataka State Government, initiated an extensive training under School Excellence Program for 36 teachers and Principals from 20 Government Schools in Bengaluru rural district. In a recent School Excellence Program meet, these schools presented the developments in the school on selected indicators of improvement.

Head Masters and teachers from 20 schools presented their schools’ vision, mission, plan of action and achievements of their schools in the fourth and final phase of School Excellence Program during a meet on 23 February. The event was an immense learning experience for everyone to gather insights and best practices of the schools. Mr. N. Srikanta, DDPI, Bengaluru Rural District and Ms. Suma S.K., Block Education Officer, Devanahalli, Bengaluru Rural District graced the occasion. They talked about the importance of having school development plan for improving the schooling experiences of children. Mr. Antony Nellissery, Chief School Excellence – Bharti Foundation, led the School Excellence Program Meet.

Heads of schools and teachers were engaged in intensive training under the School Excellence Program for overall improvement of school performance and to provide an enriching learning experience to more than 5,000 students while ensuring their holistic development. The program follows a three pronged approach by engaging the schools in development plan, improving student performance through co-scholastic interventions & life skill building programs and increasing engagement with parents for school development.
