Bharti Foundation trains teachers from partnering Government Schools in Ri-Bhoi district, Meghalaya
Bharti Foundation recently organized Teacher’s Training in Bhoirymbong block of Ri-Bhoi district in Meghalaya. This training program was organized in collaboration with Ri-Bhoi District Education Department and 65 teachers from 15 partnering Government Schools under Satya Bharti Quality Support Program in Ri-Bhoi district attended this training. District Mission Coordinator (SSA-SEMAM) Mr. Vincent Nanglang facilitated one of the sessions with the teachers.
Teacher’s Training Programs have been designed for capacity building and upskilling of the teachers through standardized modules on life skills such as Goal Setting and Time Management. These teachers will carry forward the learnings from the training and implement them in their schools and while teaching the students.
The Foundation has been running its Satya Bharti Quality Support Program (QSP) in 30 partnering government schools in Meghalaya and 104 teachers have been trained on life skills so far with the help of the Block Resource Coordinators and Cluster Resource Coordinator. Teachers’ Training Program has modules on skill development including reading, writing, goal setting and others. Through this program, Foundation aims to reach a total of 250 teachers from the QSP schools in Meghalaya.
The Satya Bharti Quality Support Program (QSP) is an education initiative of Bharti Foundation specially designed for partnering Government Schools. Through this program, Bharti Foundation engages the school leadership, teachers, students and communities to support them in their efforts to strive for school excellence. The approach focuses on identifying and integrating best practices from Bharti Foundation’s Satya Bharti Schools with the intent of encouraging innovation, participation, ownership and facilitating a sustainable change.
