BHU FACULTY MEMBER SELECTED FOR PRESTIGIOUS FULBRIGHT FELLOWSHIP

Varanasi: Members of Banaras Hindu University make the institution proud as they bring laurels to the university. Another name has been added to the list, with Dr. Vivek Singh, Assistant Professor at the Department of English, being selected for the prestigious Fulbright Fellowship for the Academic Year 2023–24. Dr. Singh has been offered the coveted program for a period of nine months, during which he will be carrying out his research at the University of Mississippi and conducting sessions to teach Indian languages there. Dr. Singh considers this an opportunity for him to serve as the Indian Cultural Ambassador in the United States, and said that he would do his best to further strengthen the language and cultural ties between the two nations. He said he will be studying American social and cultural diversity, and work towards promoting Indian languages and culture.
