BHU SCIENTIST SELECTED FOR PRESTIGIOUS JC BOSE NATIONAL FELLOWSHIP

 

VARANASI : Bringing further laurels to Banaras Hindu University, senior member of the university fraternity and Dean Faculty of Science, Professor Madhoolika Agrawal has been selected for the prestigious JC Bose National fellowship of Science and Engineering Research Board, Department of Science and technology, Government of India. The Fellowship is granted for promoting basic research in Science and Engineering and to provide financial assistance to persons engaged in such research. Prof. Agrawal has been conferred the coveted honor for her excellent contribution in the area of Ecology and Environmental Science. She has worked extensively on Air Pollution, Global Environmental Change and its impact on Food Chain Contamination. She has previously been nominated for many national and international prestigious awards and fellowships too. A scientist par excellence, Prof. Agrawal, who is from the Department of Botany, Institute of Science, has been teaching in the university for nearly thirty eight years, besides serving in various academic and administrative capacities.
