BHU TO ORGANIZE WEEK-LONG MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS CAMPAIGN TO PROMOTE RESILIENCE AND SELF-ADAPTIVE BEHAVIOUR
Varanasi : Banaras Hindu University is placing significant emphasis on the holistic development of students, particularly focusing on their mental well-being. The university has implemented various measures to support students in addressing mental health issues, identifying their inner strengths, and overcoming challenges that hinder their overall growth.
In this spirit, the Wellbeing Services Cell (WBSC) is organizing a week long Mental Health Awareness Campaign from September 28 to October 4, 2024. Under the leadership of the Dean of Students, this initiative aims to promote “Inculcating Self-Adaptive Behavior and Increasing Resilience.”
The campaign will feature engaging activities such as Open Mic sessions, Poster Making, Music Therapy, and Mindfulness Practices, encouraging students to actively participate in their mental wellness. Led by SRK Fellows in Psychology and supported by the Student Counsellor and Clinical Psychological Counsellors, the program, coordinated by the Associate Dean of Students (Student Development), emphasizes collaboration and community support.
BHU’s commitment to mental health highlights the belief that a supportive environment fosters academic success and personal growth, making this campaign a crucial step in nurturing resilient and adaptive students.
