Bihar becomes the first state in India to democratize post classroom academic support
Patna : The Government of Bihar has entered a statewide partnership with Filo, the world’s first instant live tutoring app, to offer free access to its platform to all students of class 9th to 12th from over 9000 Government Schools of Bihar. The announcement was made today in Patna, where the Education Minister of Bihar Shri Vijay Kumar Choudhary inaugurated the app for the students of Bihar. Other dignitaries like Mr. Sanjay Kumar, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary, Department of Education, Mr. Asangba Chauba AO, IAS, Secretary, Department of Education, Mr. Manoj Kumar, IAS, Director, Secondary Education, and Mr. Shrikant Shashtri, IAS, Managing Director, BSIEDC were also present in the event.
The initiative will come at no cost to over 45 lakh students who will now have immediate access to vetted professional tutors on the platform for 1:1 personalized learning. This makes Bihar, the first state government in India to democratize and provide equitable academic support to its students beyond the classrooms; an area that has so far been the preserve of only a privileged few who could afford it (in the form of coaching).
Shri Vijay Kumar Choudhary, Education Minister of Bihar said, “We are proud to be the first state government to offer live instant tutoring support to our students.
