Billabong High students win awards at competitions like Vanda Global Science Competition & Rubik’s Cube Asia Book of Record

 

 

Mumbai  : Students of Billabong High International School (BHIS) Malad won multiple awards at the competitions like Vanda International Science competition and Rubik Cubes. Students bagged gold medals in their competitions that brought glory to the school.

 

Aryan Prakash, Grade X student, won the gold medal securing 3rd global rank in Vanda Science Global competition, while Reyansh Botadra of Grade IV, secured the Asia Book of Record Medal for participating in the Iconic Record Making Event in “Maximum Number of Participants Solving Multiple Rubik’s Cubes Together “on a Digital Platform and was part of the record-setting team.

 

The Vanda is an International Science Competition held annually around the globe. It focuses on student’s ability to think critically and creatively to aid them in solving the questions based on the Singapore School Science syllabus. It is for students from primary 3 to 11 grade. Whereas in Rubik’s Cube competition total of 442 participants solved three Rubik’s cubes 3x3x3, 2x2x2 and Pyramid cube with an average solving time of 10 minutes setting the record in ASIA Books of Records and Reyansh was one of the participants from the team.

 

Elated over students’ achievements, Dr Madhu Singh, Principal, BHIS Malad, said, “I am extremely proud of Aryan and Reyansh and what they have been able to accomplish. Winning 3rd place, gold medal in an international competition and Asia Book of Record Medal is an incredible achievement. They are a manifestation of our mission at Billabong High International School – we nurture our children and help them discover their North Star i.e their true passion.
