Biotech Firm POI Hires Students

Aligarh : In a remarkable synergy between academia and industry, POI India Biotech Pvt. Limited recently conducted a successful recruitment drive at Aligarh Muslim University’s Department of Industrial Chemistry, fostering young talent. The event targeted B.Sc. and M.Sc. students, resulting in eight exceptional individuals progressing to the final interview round at POI’s cutting-edge facility in Haridwar.

Creating messenger RNA and small target molecules, POI India Biotech has an strategic partnership with a leading American manufacturing unit, under Dr. Saroj Kumar Roy, who is also an alumnus of the Department of Chemistry.

The academic prowess of the department’s students shines through various success stories. Notably, M.Sc. students Tanvir Ahmad, Mod. Monis, and Md. Rashid has secured coveted positions within the prestigious Vedanta Group. Meanwhile, Ahmad Fahadullah has been chosen as an R&D Chemist at Siegwerk India Pvt. Ltd. The accomplishments continue with M. Haris, who triumphantly cleared the NET exam in Chemical Sciences.

The accolades extend further, with seven M.Sc. Industrial Chemistry students are now admitted to the M.Tech program in Petroleum Engineering. Anam Reza, Alvia Fatima, Afjal Ansari, Zakir Elahi, Md. Altamash, Shehla, and Fariyal Ansari embody the spirit of academic excellence.

Among the B.Sc. students, Shoban Alam embarks on a promising journey into the M.Sc. Biotechnology program. Additionally, Arqam Fahad’s selection for the prestigious SERP+ mobility program propels him into the realm of Surface Electro Photochemistry studies at the esteemed University of Saclay, France.
