Birkbeck University Of London Students To Benefit From New Initiative

Birkbeck students have the opportunity to benefit from a grant of £1,000, in a new initiative developed in partnership with Santander Universities.

Ten students will be selected at random to receive the cash prize and will be able to use the Brighter Futures Grant to support their university experience, by spending the funds on learning resources such as laptops, textbooks and stationery, or putting it towards the cost of accommodation or bills to help with living expenses.

The Brighter Futures Grants are open to all Birkbeck students including undergraduates, postgraduates, part-time and full-time students.

Eleanor Mongey, Director of Student Services at Birkbeck, commented: ”We are immensely grateful to Santander Universities for its ongoing support. Last year we celebrated ten years of Birkbeck and Santander Universities working together in a partnership that has seen students’ lives changed through Santander Universities’ generous funding.

“These grants will be hugely beneficial to students, who, particularly given the cost of living crisis, will have the flexibility to support and enhance their student experience by spending the grant how they best see fit.”
