BITSoM enters MoU with USC Marshall School of Business for Academic and Research Exchange

 Mumbai: BITS School of Management (BITSoM), Mumbai, has entered a strategic MoU with the University of Southern California, Marshall School of Business (USC Marshall) that aims at enhancing cooperation on academic and research initiatives by both institutes. This partnership entails exchange of visiting scholars for conducting research, a possibility of graduate student exchange who intend to conduct independent or collaborative research, and exploratory discussion on the establishment of a Dual Degree Programme leading to an MBA from BITSoM and a Specialized STEM MS degree from USC Marshall, in the near future.

Speaking on the strategic collaboration, Dr Saravanan Kesavan, Dean and Professor of Operations, BITSoM said We intend to bring the world’s best management education to our students at BITSoM, and exposure to global contexts and diverse cultures is a key ingredient of this vision. Our partnership with USC’s Marshall School of Business is a step in that direction, with an aim to build a deep and productive relationship over time. I look forward to our students learning from the scholars and faculty at USC Marshall.”

Dr Geoffrey Garrett, Dean, USC Marshall School of Business who is also a member of the BITSoM Governing Council, said “The relationship between USC Marshall and BITSoM is an important one in our endeavour to create new knowledge and academic collaboration in the field of Management research. USC Marshall is a leader in global business education and our partnership with BITSoM will further our shared vision of preparing future leaders for an increasingly complex global economy.”

BITSoM is geared up to celebrate its third Foundation Day on 28 January. In the last three years, BITSoM has welcomed three MBA cohorts of diverse and remarkable students and continues to receive a strong response for admission to the MBA Class of 2024-26. Interview shortlists are being declared on a rolling basis, and aspirants have an opportunity to apply by the Round 2 deadline, 28 January 2024 (Sunday).
