Block divas: Grassroots level issues addressed in district Samba

Samba: Following the directions of Government of J&K , District Administration, Samba today carried out second consecutive Block Divas at three blocks headquarters of Vijaypur, Sumb, Ghgawal and the local issues raised by representatives of Panchayats were addressed by the senior govt officers.
During the day long activities 420 domiciles certificates, 173 category certificates, 07 revenue certificates were issued, while 18 ration cards were aadhar seeded, 54 families were covered under Ayushman Bharat, 1625 beneficiaries were covered under social security schemes, 09 new KCC cards issued, 04 new development works under MGNREGA started and 23 grievances were also disposed of.
The designated officers including Additional Deputy commissioner, Samba Suram Chand Sharma for Sumb block, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Samba, Jitender Mishra for block Vijaypur and Sub Divisional Magistrate Ghagwal, Ram Kesh Sharma for Ghagwal block listened to the public grievances and addressed most of them on spot.
The Sarpanchs, panchs and general public raised various local issues and sought repair of power distribution lines, construction of playgrounds, black toppling of roads, augmentation of water supply schemes etc.
The officers directed the concerned department heads for resolving the issues expeditiously and also submitting the action taken report before next scheduled block divas. The pendency and bottlenecks in the social security schemes were also resolved on the spot with the convergence of multiple departments.
It was informed that Sarpanches, panches and local public expressed their gratitude towards the district administration for holding block divas which has now become a platform for governance at doorstep.
