Block Diwas: DC Kathua convenes Grievance Redress Camp at Dinga Amb

 

KATHUA : To reach out to the public and to listen to their grievances at their doorsteps, Deputy Commissioner Kathua, Rahul Yadav today convened a grievances redressal camp here at Dinga Amb.

BDC Chairman, Sudesh Sharma, DDC Member Rimi Chadak, Senior Superintendent of Police, SDM Hiranagar, Executive Engineer PWD, Executive Engineer PHE, Executive Engineer PDD, SDO Hiranagar, BMO and officers of line departments were present on the occasion.

Addressing the gathering BDC Chairman, Sudesh Sharma projected the public demand for Recruitment of local youth as SOPs.

DDC member Rimi Chadak demanded maintenance of PHE pipes for regular supply of drinking water in the area. The Sarpnaches and public delegations also projected varied demands and issues and sought immediate intervention of district administration.

Responding to demands raised by the PRIs and Public, the Deputy Commissioner stressed upon the officers to complete all the ongoing development works within stipulated time. He appealed to the people to cooperate with the government departments for early completion of works so that the same were dedicated to them well within the time frame.

The DC appealed to the people to pay the water and electricity bill for the regular supply. The directions were passed to the social Welfare Department for speedy disposal of pension cases.

Taking cognizance of public complaint, Senior Superintendent of Police, R.C Kotwal assured to take up the issue of indiscriminate parking of trucks at Sallan Morh with the traffic police. He further assured to recommend for SPOs recruitment rally in the Block Dinga Amb.

Responding to the complaint of shortage of staff in the Dinga Amb Block, Block Development Officer said that some employees have joined recently, while she has written to the higher authorities of forest department regarding the roads to Panchayat Dinga Amb (B) through the forest area.

Regarding the complaint of inflated electricity bills, Executive Engineer PDD said that genuine cases will be resolved. The Executive Engineer PWD said that the work on tendered roads will be taken up soon.

Earlier, Sarpanch Dalli demanded compensation for the farmers whose crops got damaged due to heavy rains besides an early disposal of old age pensions cases lying with the social welfare department. He said that there should be no age criteria for widow pension.

He further demanded improvement of infrastructure in the educational institutions for imparting quality education to the students so that they could compete with private educational institutions. He appreciated the ongoing COVID-19 Vaccination programme going on in the block.

Sarpanch Panchayat Mangloor (West) demanded replacement of old electric cables and fencing of the transformers and office buildings for Tehsildar office and BDC Chairman Office.

Sarpanch Panchyat Dinga Amb (A) demanded an ambulance and staff for local PHC. He further demanded up-gradation of Government High School and early blacktopping of roads in the panchayat.

Sarpanch Panchayat Dinga Amb (B) demanded regular supply of drinking water in the area.
