BRA Bihar University Vice Chancellor Prof. Dinesh Chandra Rai presided over the Bhartiya Bhasha Sammelan organised by LS College in collaboration with Shiksha Sanskriti Uthhan Nyas, NewDelhi and Bhartiya Bhasha Samiti, Govt. of India on Thrusday. During the event, various scholars, linguists, and language enthusiasts gathered to discuss the importance of promoting and preserving Indian languages.
In his address Vice Chancellor Prof. Rai emphasized the need to recognize and respect the diversity of languages in India and encouraged participants to work towards promoting linguistic diversity. He also highlighted the role of educational institutions in preserving and promoting Indian languages. Prof. Rai said mother language plays vital role in the development of personnel, social and cultural identity. Language may be just a way to communicate with each other, but mother language is something that helps us to stay connected with our roots and unique culture.
Chief guest Prof. PK Bajpayee, Vice-Chancellor, JP University, Chhapra in his address broadlly discussed issues such as language preservation, language policy, and multilingual education in India. Prof. Bajpayee further said India is a diverse country with a wide range of languages spoken across different regions. By promoting Indian languages, we can foster a sense of unity and pride in our linguistic diversity.
Prof. Ompraksh Roy, Principal, LS College welcomed all dignitaries. In his welcome speech Prof. Roy said Indian languages have their own unique expressions, idioms, and vocabulary that can inspire creativity and innovation. By promoting these languages, we can encourage people to think outside the box and come up with new ideas and solutions.
Convenor Prof. Rajeev Kumar, Head of the Philosophy department shed light on the current state of Indian languages and proposed recommendations for their revitalization and growth. He said additionally, various sessions and workshops is to conducted to engage participants in interactive discussions and activities aimed at promoting linguistic diversity and awareness.
Co-Convener Dr. Rajeshwar Kumar said this conference provided an opportunity for networking and collaboration among language enthusiasts from different parts of the country to share their views.
The event saw participation from students, faculty members, and language enthusiasts from various communities. Those who marked their presence in this conference include Prof. Atish Parasar, Prof. Vivekanand Upadhyay,Prof. Bharat Singh, Prof. Jaykant Singh, University PRO Prof. Rajeev Jha, Prof. TK Dey, Dr. Navin Kumar to name a few.
