Brainly ranks #1 as the homework app in India

New Delhi: With over 320 million students affected in India alone, the pandemic-led school closures have played a major role in drawing new users to online learning. Brainly, the world’s largest online learning platform has been leading the EdTech chart in India. According to the data released by SimilarWeb and Appannie, Brainly has been declared the number one homework application and website as of September.

A favorable growth has solidified the EdTech platforms’ position in India with respect to other learning platforms. Brainly ranks #1, followed by Jagran Josh, Byjus, and Toppr. The latest feat could be accredited to their ‘knowledge-sharing community learning’ model where 250 million students and experts crack their heads to solve some of the toughest schoolwork questions. This year, acknowledging the efforts of educators, Brainly is organizing the ‘Shikshak of the Year’ contest in India. The award honors teachers across the country who have played an exceptional role in facilitating education during these crucial times.

It is noteworthy that Brainly had registered a surge in its Indian user base during April this year. It catapulted the platforms’ user base from 22 million to 25million within a short span.

Rajesh Bysani, CPO of Brainly says, “This is a unique time for students, parents, and teachers across the world. They are constantly driven to online learning to make the most of their time at home to engage and learn concepts differently. With no clarity over the reopening of schools, the best tools and platforms that help students resolve their academic queries will stay with us even when the pandemic is gone.”
