Braj Sahityotsav Inaugurated at Sanskriti University by Former Union Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi

 

The Braj Sahityotsav Festival kicked off with grandeur at Sanskriti University, ushering in a celebration of literature, culture, and heritage. The inaugural ceremony, graced by esteemed guests and dignitaries, was highlighted by the insightful address of former Union Cabinet Minister and senior BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi.

 

Addressing the audience, Naqvi emphasized the significant role of cultural nationalism in India, stating that it serves as a corrective force against the communal, cruel, and criminal acts of foreign invaders. He lauded India as the “powerhouse of cultural nationalism,” underlining its commitment to the ideals of ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat’ with a steadfast dedication to constitutional secularism.

 

In his address at the Braj Sahityotsav, Naqvi underscored India’s unique position as a nation where followers of all religions, as well as those with no religious affiliation, coexist and thrive harmoniously. He commended the Sanskriti University for organizing such an event that celebrates India’s rich cultural heritage and promotes unity in diversity.

 

Dr. Sachin Gupta, Chancellor of Sanskriti University, expressed his excitement about the festival, marking it as the beginning of a journey towards prosperity. He emphasized the timeless nature of Braj’s culture, art, and literature, stressing the importance of youth engagement with Braj literature.

 

Renowned scholar and poet Dr. Ashok Chakradhar, honored with Padma Shri and other accolades, captivated the audience with his witty remarks on the expanding horizons of literature. He emphasized the relevance of understanding Braj literature among the younger generation and highlighted the profound insights into life depicted by poets like Sur and Ras Khan.

The auspicious ceremony commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp in front of the idol of Goddess Saraswati, symbolizing the pursuit of knowledge. Chief guests Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi and Padma Shri Dr. Ashok Chakradhar initiated this ritual. Professor N.B. Chetty, Vice Chancellor of Sanskriti University, extended a warm welcome to all guests, shedding light on the university’s contributions to education and culture.

 

Dr. J.P. Sharma, Director-General of Sanskriti University, expressed gratitude to all attendees and students for their participation. Other notable figures present on stage included Vishnu Goyal from the Braj Art Center, CEO Meenakshi Sharma, and Dean Dr. Rajneesh Tyagi.
