Brock University’s New ed2go Partnership Expands Skills-Based Learning Offerings
Whether the goal is to do a job more effectively or to pursue a new career, adult learners now have more options than ever before to develop their skills through Brock University.
Brock Professional and Continuing Studies (Brock PCS) has teamed up with learning provider ed2go to introduce expanded self-study and guided learning options to the University’s programming catalogue.
The partnership adds more than 110 short-term professional, refresher and personal-interest courses curated to help individuals build essential skills that are in demand in a variety of fields.
“While selecting our ed2go catalog, we wanted to make sure that the options would be useful to our learners. Not only did we select skills-based courses for career enhancement, but we also included material for the everyday learner,” says Barb Mercer, Associate Director Programming for Brock PCS.
The catalogue includes courses in arts and design, health and fitness, business, information technology, computer applications, language, writing and computer science.
“There are a wide variety of courses for individuals of varying abilities and skill levels,” Mercer said. “All courses are delivered online, many with the option to be either self-guided or led by an instructor asynchronously.”
The ed2go courses mark the start of Brock PCS’s on-demand learning programming. Many of the self-guided courses have continuous enrolment and allow learners to immediately begin their studies. Instructor-led learning will also have frequent and multiple intakes.
