Brunel University London Introduces New Scholarship for International Master’s Students, Marking its Largest-Ever Investment in Academic Excellence
Eligible international students starting on master’s courses at Brunel University London in September 2024 will benefit from a new £5,000 scholarship: the Vice-Chancellor’s Excellence Award 2024, launched today as part of the university’s largest-ever investment in academic excellence internationally.
The award is a £5,000 reduction in first-year fees for international students who have secured an offer to study on a full-time master’s course at Brunel, based on the western side of the United Kingdom’s capital city – and who meet the award’s criteria.
There are more than 100 taught master’s courses on offer at Brunel, such as Master of Science (MSc) in subjects from engineering management to cognitive psychology, Master of Arts (MA) in everything from creative writing to intelligence and security studies, and the ever-popular Master of Business Administration (MBA).
Applicants to these postgraduate taught programmes will be considered automatically for the award, as long as they:
- have an offer to study on a full-time master’s course at Brunel, starting in September 2024
- are classed as an overseas fee-paying student
- have a 2:1 or first-class undergraduate degree, or the equivalent internationally recognised qualification
- meet the entry criteria for the course and meet the course offer
- have paid their course deposit in good time for the award’s deadline of 31 July 2024.
The Vice-Chancellor’s Excellence Award joins a range of more than 600 scholarships, bursaries and discounts that are available to Brunel’s international students and/or to their home and European Union classmates.
Professor Andrew Jones, Brunel’s Vice-Chancellor and President, launched the award and the international scholarship package at an event in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He said: “I’m very excited to announce the launch of the Vice-Chancellor’s Excellence Award 2024, which will give a substantial boost to so many international students who start their master’s journey at Brunel in September.
“At Brunel, we pride ourselves on delivering a world-class, research-informed education – and our students have a sense of purpose to broaden their minds, become leaders in their fields and begin change-making work from the moment they graduate.
“Our hundreds of scholarships, bursaries and discounts, including this new award, demonstrate our commitment to empowering exceptional and passionate individuals from across the globe, and represent the university’s largest-ever investment in academic excellence internationally.”
