Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru College of Agriculture (PAJANCOA), Puducherry has invited applications for admission to BSc (Agri) Programme of Academic Year 2013-14. Eligibility for Admission a. HSC / Equivalent – Academic Stream A pass in the Higher Secondary Course (10+2) or any other examination recognized as equivalent there to and fulfilling the following requirements: (i) Candidates who studied any one the following groups: Group-I: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology Group-II: Physics, Chemistry, Biology with any one of the following subjects as fourth (elective) subject viz.,Biochemistry or Biotechnology or Microbiology or Home Science or Computer Science. Group-II (A): Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology. (ii) Eligible Minimum Qualifying Marks (Academic Stream / Vocational Stream): Open Competition (OC) – 55% aggregate of all the four subjects Backward Class (BC) and Backward Class Muslim (BCM) – 50% aggregate of all the four subjects Most Backward Class (MBC) / Denotified Communities (DNC) / Extreme Backward Class (EBC) / Backward Tribe (BT) – 45% aggregate of all the four subjects Scheduled Caste (SC) – A pass in qualifying examination Scheduled Tribe (ST) – A pass in qualifying examination (iii) Age limit: Candidates should not have completed the age of 21 years on the first day of July of the admission year. However, for Scheduled Castes / Scheduled Tribes there is no age limit. Application Forms: The cost of application form is Rs.500/- (Rs.250/- for SC / ST) Application forms can be obtained in person by paying the application fee in cash from the Dean, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru College of Agriculture & Research Institute, Nedungadu P.O., Karaikal-609 603. Applications can also be obtained through post by sending a request letter addressed to the Dean, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru College of Agriculture & Research Institute, Nedungadu P.O., Karaikal-609 603 along with self-addressed cover of size 34x28cm stamped for Rs.42/- (through registered post). The application fee should be sent as Demand Draft drawn in favour of the Dean, PAJANCOA & RI, Karaikal from any Nationalised Bank, payable at Karaikal. The application can also be downloaded from website www.pajancoa.ac.in. The filled in downloaded application in A4 size sheet should be attached with necessary application fee of Rs.500/- (Rs.250/- for SC / ST) as Demand Draft drawn in favour of the Dean, PAJANCOA & RI, Kariakal from any Nationalalised Bank payable at Karaikal.
