BSJ Hall observes National Youth Festival
Aligarh: Talented students exhibited their speaking skills on topics such as New Education Policy, Online Teaching Pedagogy and Role of Youth in Promoting Social Integration and Harmony in the web discussions held as a part of Begum Sultan Jahan (BSJ) Hall, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) observations of the ‘National Youth Festival-2021’. The students also attended the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi’s online valedictory function speech of the National Youth Parliament Festival-2021.
Prof Saira Mehnaz (Provost, BSJ Hall) said that the web discussions were organised to remember Swami Vivekananda on his birth anniversary with an objective to bring youth together for showcasing their talents; provide them an arena, by creating a mini-India, where youth interact in formal and informal settings and exchange their social and cultural uniqueness.
The youth festival promotes national integration, spirit of communal harmony, brotherhood, courage and adventure, she added.
Quoting Swami Vivekananda, ‘today’s youth as tomorrow’s future’, Dr Shyna Saif (Warden) discussed the objective of the festival.
Mohammad Intesar (MSW Final Year) and Aarmish (BA Social Work) spoke on the structure of the New Education Policy and its implementation; while M Shahzeb Khan (MSW Final Year) discussed the role of youth in social integration.
Dr Nazia Tabassum (Warden) extended the vote of thanks.
