BSJ Hall Organises Orientation Programme

Aligarh : Starting University and Hostel life can cause much anxiety in the heart of a fresher student because of all the unknowns. An overview of the complete realm of university life, from academics, to residential campus life to social activities was given during the orientation programme that was conducted in the dining hall of Begum Sultan Jahan (BSJ), AMU. The “getting to know you” sessions, informational sessions, and advising sessions were addressed by the Provost, the Wardens and the Hall Committee and were attended by all residents of the Hall.

The Provost, Prof Saira Mehnaz addressed the students and welcomed them into the BSJ family. She explained to them the importance of AMU traditions and made them feel at home. Dr Saira conducted an ice-breaking ceremony.

The Senior Hall Monitor Ms Harim Fatima took students on a virtual tour in which they were made familiar with the amenities present in the Hall. The students were also guided through the rules of the Hall and the ways to avail all facilities.

The students were introduced to the Hall Committee, Wardens and the Provost. The senior food Monitor, Miss Tahmina Zainab then introduced the rules of the Dining hall.

Miss Iqra Rasheed delivered welcome address and a vote of thanks paid by the Senior Hall Monitor.
