BUMS Class of 1994 reunite at Silver Jubilee Reunion

They act as brand ambassadors and provide to the institute and its students an incredible network for mentorship and other academic and professional engagements,” said the Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) Pro Vice Chancellor, Prof Akhtar Haseeb.

He was delivering the presidential address at the inaugural function of the Silver Jubilee reunion Bachelor in Unani Medicine and Surgery (BUMS), class of 1994 at the Ajmal Khan Tibbiya College Auditorium.

Consistent and quality relationship is beneficial to both alumni and the educational institution much beyond what meets the eye, added Prof Haseeb.

Alumni from BUMS batch of 1994 gathered from all over the country and abroad were welcomed back to the campus. Reminiscing days as students, they shared pleasantries and bonded with the current students.

Guest of Honour, Prof Salma Ahmad (MIC, AKTC Dawakhana), was elated to see enthusiasm and optimism in resource mobilisation through dedicated alumni keen to play a role in shaping the future of their alma mater.

Prof MMH Siddiqui (Dean, Faculty of Unani Medicine) welcomed the suggestions from alumni and means to make the bond stronger and effective.

Elaborating on the upcoming AKTC first alumni meet-2020 in February, Prof Saud A Khan (Principal AKTC) said, “For achieving well specified and sophisticated vision, a plethora of activities will be undertaken to establish connections and strengthening ties between current students and alumni”.

Dr Abdul Rauf delivered the welcome address, while Dr Mohd Khalid extended the vote of thanks. Dr Abdul Aziz conducted the programme.
