Business simulation game organized

ALIGARH  : The Team Unstoppable won the Business Simulation Game, “Strategic Minds”, organized by the Department of Business Administration, Aligarh Muslim University, and received a cash prize of Rs. 20,000/-, while other participants received a certificate of participation. The members of the winning team included Saumya Agarwal (B.Tech.), Tanisha Agarwal and Shabeena Malik (B.Com.).

Addressing the prize distribution ceremony, Prof. Jamal Ahmad Farooquie, Chairman of the department said that the programme was organized with the objective to provide the participants with a hands-on learning experience in developing and implementing business strategies and gain a deeper understanding of business models and their implementation.

He later gave away the prizes to the winners and certificates to all participants, along with the Organizing Secretary, Prof Ayesha Farooq.

Earlier, welcoming the participants and guests, Prof. Ayesha Farooq said it is a new concept based on Michael Porter’s theory of Five Forces that enables the participants to experience the challenges in an industry setting and they learn how to cope with those challenges with the varying degree of resources and power.

She thanked the hardware exporter Mohd. Umair Alam for sponsoring prizes for the winners.

Research scholars Mohammad Hasan and Abdullah Furqan gave a brief presentation on the Business Simulation Game and said five teams had registered including those from Zakir Husain College of Engineering and Technology, Department of Commerce, Department of Business Administration and AMU Kishanganj Centre.
