BYJU’S rolls out first-ever flagship Fellowship Programme for its Social Impact Initiative – BYJU’S Education For All

Bengaluru: BYJU’S, the world’s leading edtech company, as a part of its social impact initiative ‘Education For All’, has announced the launch of a special two-year Fellowship Programme for young, dynamic candidates aspiring to work in the social development sector. The Fellowship is part of BYJU’S social impact initiative, ‘BYJU’S Education For All’, launched in 2020 which aims to empower 10 million students from remote and underserved districts of India, with access to quality digital education by 2025.

The first cohort of this fellowship programme includes 45 fellows shortlisted from across the country with social development experience backgrounds, who will be trained on synergies in India’s edtech and social development sectors. A special 2-week training module has been designed for the fellows which includes workshops on various developmental topics, BYJU’S product knowledge sessions, talks by industry experts, village immersion, and a volunteering program for 2 days in remote areas and many more. The selected fellows will be responsible for managing BYJU’S social initiatives programmes in India’s aspirational districts in collaboration with the NITI Aayog.

Mansi Kasliwal, VP-Social Initiatives, BYJU’S said, “Education is a catalyst for change. Today’s youth are indispensable agents in the journey to make high-quality education and equal learning opportunities accessible to all. BYJU’S Fellows are on the exciting mission to drive social change and influence the lives of many students positively, as well as encouraging their peers to follow.”

As a part of this programme, fellows will help provide quality education to over 3,000 meritorious JEE and NEET aspirants from underserved communities across 60+ aspirational districts. Post completion of this two-year fellowship, top candidates will get a chance to work as full-time employees with BYJU’S social initiatives.

The launch of this Fellowship Programme is a significant step in that direction as it acts as a springboard for aspiring candidates to make a successful career in the Edtech sector in India by working with top government agencies and not-for-profit organizations in the country.

COVID-19 has caused massive learning losses. According to the Department of School Education and Literacy, over 24 crore school children in India were impacted by the pandemic, out of which around 12 crores were between classes 1–5. Through its social impact initiatives, BYJU’S aims to create a level playing field and fill this educational gap in India.

BYJU’S Education For All

With an aim to make digital learning accessible to millions of children from underserved communities, BYJU’S, the world’s leading edtech company, launched its social impact initiative – Education for All in late 2020. The program aims at democratising education by ensuring that children across all economic backgrounds get equal access to quality learning opportunities. The “Education for All” initiative serves to enable students from underserved and economically deprived communities with a better chance at upward social and economic mobility. This initiative aims at bridging the educational and digital divide by making quality learning accessible to the children in need. With over 100+ partners like American India Foundation, United Way, Right to Live, Magic Bus, SOS, Save the Children, CRY and more across 26 states in India, the program has created a positive impact and reached over 35 lakh students in the last 1 year across the country. BYJU’S has also partnered with NITI Aayog to provide free access to its tech-driven learning programs for children from 112 “aspirational districts” of the country. The company aims to accelerate its impact in reaching children who have no access to learning both on its own and through partnerships. For more information:
