C-DAC Patna launches the course on Emerging Technologies, Bihar takes the next step in developing technological knowledge

New Delhi: In keeping with its mission of making C-DAC Patna a hub of advanced computing learning centres while also expanding its role in the country’s eastern region, the center’s Advanced Computing Training School (ACTS) will launch a PG Diploma course on Emerging Technologies on September 21 (Tuesday) in the august presence of former Union Minister of Law, Electronics, and Information Technology Ravi Shankar Prasad.
Bihar Information and Technology Minister Jibesh Kumar, Minority Welfare Minister Mohd Zama Khan, Digha MLA Sanjeev Chaurasia, Secretary, Information and Technology Department Santosh Kumar Mall, Development Commissioner Amir Subhani, Secretary Minority Welfare Department AN Safeena, and Dr Bindey Kumar, Professor and Dean, AIIMS Patna attended the event.
Aside from that, IT experts from IBM, Tech Mahindra, KPIT, Intel, and INTENSE Technologies graced the occasion.
At the event, certificates for the BRIDGE-DAC programme were also distributed to students of the September 2021 batch of the Online PG-Diploma. This will be followed by an induction programme for PG Diploma Courses, which is traditionally regarded as a powerful grooming of a fresh graduate’s professional career and is common method of harvesting skilled graduates and professionals.
Shri Jibesh Kumar, Minister Department of Information Technology and Labour Resources, Bihar said on this occasion, “This is yet another step in line with our campaign “Invest IT Bihar,” which encourages investors to invest in Bihar’s IT sector. The technically skilled youth with C-DAC certification will be an encouragement factor for investors because they will have access to highly skilled and employable labour in the state itself.”

The Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) is a Scientific Society of the Government of India’s Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY).
