CAB Awareness: IEC material, masks distributed in Rajouri, Sunderbani

RAJOURI: As part of the COVID Appropriate Behaviour awareness drive, the District Information Centre Rajouri distributed IEC material and masks among the public at Rajouri and Sunderbani.

The IEC material and masks distribution was done as a part of the sustained campaign of spreading awareness among the people on the precautions to be taken against the pandemic.

At Sunderbani, the main focus was on the vaccination sites where the masks and IEC were distributed among the people who visited the sites to take vaccines.

The drive at Sunderbani was facilitated by the Principal GHSS Sunderbani, Ramesh Sharma and social workers Joginder Sharma and Pukshar Raj. Similarly, pamphlets and masks have also been distributed among the public at Rajouri in the past three days.

A COVID appropriate awareness programme under the chairmanship of the Additional Deputy Commissioner Sunderbani, Vinod Kumar Behnal was also organised at GHSS Sunderbani.

The resource person from the Health Department, Dr Manzoor Hussain, BMO Sunderbani, briefed the participants about the safeguards against the Corona virus Infection. They were appealed to follow COVID-19 appropriate behaviour to shield them from the viral infection as this is the only and the best tool to fight against the pandemic.

The people were urged to wear masks while going out of their homes, maintain physical distance and avoid visiting crowded places. He also appealed to the participants to take the COVID vaccine and also go for a COVID test if they feel any symptoms to ensure their safety as well as the safety of the others.
