Cabinet approves Madhya Pradesh Moneylenders Amendment Bill and Schedule Tribe Loan Waiver Bill
Bhopal : In the first Cabinet meeting held at Mantralaya today under the Chairmanship of the Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan, after the distribution of departments among the members of the cabinet, major decisions were taken in the interest of poor. Approval was given by the cabinet to the Madhya Pradesh Moneylenders Amendment Bill and Schedule Tribe Loan Waiver Bill-2020. Now further proceedings will be taken in this matter.
The Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that Madhya Pradesh Schedule Tribe Loan Waiver Bill is being introduced to free tribals from the clutches of moneylenders, under this a provision is being made to waive all loans taken till August 15, 2020 by the members of the tribal community, dwelling in the notified areas of the state. Along with this, Madhya Pradesh Moneylenders (Amendment Bill-2020) is also being introduced to free other sections of the society from the grip of the moneylenders.
The Chief Minister Shri Chouhan further mentioned that Madhya Pradesh is currently facing a challenge of corona but this is also an opportunity to serve people. We all together should render better services to the people with team spirit. We all are ready and devoted for the development of the state and welfare of the people, he added.
The Chief Minister Shri Chouhan addressed the first cabinet meeting at Mantralaya today, after the distribution of departments among the ministers. All cabinet members and officers were present at the meeting.
Departmental review on Monday and Cabinet meeting on Tuesday
The Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that all ministers have to stay back in Bhopal on every Monday and Tuesday. They must hold departmental review on Monday and fix time to meet members of legislative assembly on the same day. The cabinet meeting will take place from 11.00 a.m. on Tuesday (Excluding unavoidable circumstances).
Ministers to make presentations of department
The Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that minister should make brief presentation of their departments themselves in cabinet meeting. The departmental ACS and PS will help them in this work.
Visit Districts of their charge at least for 2 days in a month
The Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that at present, the cabinet has 34 members; therefore, some ministers will be made in-charge of 01 district and some of 2 districts. District In-Charge Ministers should visit districts of their charge at least for two days in a month and also take night halt there. During the visit, hold review meetings pertaining to implementation of schemes, construction works and interact with people.
Will present roadmap of Atma-Nirbhar Madhya Pradesh before people on August 15
The Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that we have to work continuously to make Atma-Nirbhar Madhya Pradesh in order to fulfill the resolve of Atma-Nirbhar Bharat of the well known and visionary Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. Ministers with the help of departmental officers, subject experts and intellectuals should prepare a roadmap in this regard. They should also study suggestions received from the public in this connection. A roadmap of Atma-Nirbhar Madhya Pradesh will be presented before the people on August 15.
C.M. Monitoring System
The Chief Minister Shri Chouhan stated that the C.M. Monitoring system has been prepared for monitoring of government works and constant monitoring of all the government works and schemes will be done through this system. Ministers are required to upload information as regard to targets of works of departmental schemes, physical and financial progress etc.
Good results achieved under Kill Corona campaign
The Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that the Kill Corona campaign is being conducted to totally eliminate corona by identifying every single corona patient through door to door survey in the state. Good results are emerging under the campaign. As of today, the corona positivity rate has declined to 3.58 percent from 3.78 percent in the state under the campaign started from July 01. At the same time, death rate has come down to 3.64 percent from 4.19 percent. Under the campaign, tests have reached to 14500 per day. Till now, 65 percent survey work has been completed in the state and the remaining survey will be completed within 2 to 3 days.
Will do everything for development of state and welfare of people
The Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that state has a liability of Rs. 26 thousand 218 crore belongs to the period of the previous government and the revenue has declined because of the corona crisis. He will not let paucity of fund hinder the progress and do everything for the development of state and welfare of people.
