Call Center Set Up at Rajindra Hospital to Inform Family Members of Well Being of COVID Patients
Patiala: The District Administration and the Department of Medical Education and Research has set up a unique call center to inform the family members about the health condition of the COVID patients admitted in the CORONA ward set up at Government Rajindra Hospital, Patiala.
Confirming this, Deputy Commissioner Kumar Amit said that this call center has been set up under Mission Fateh so that the family members of the patients would not remain in any dilemma and the health of their patient’s improvement and any emergency would also be conveyed to them. The situation to be reported immediately.
Mr. Kumar Amit said that Punjab Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh and Lok Sabha Member Mrs. Preneet Kaur were personally monitoring the situation and issuing guidelines from time to time to ensure that the patients admitted in Government Rajindra Hospital could be provided better treatment facilities.
Giving more information about this call center, COVID Care in-charge and Chief Administrator PDA said, “Although the members of 20 to 25 patients are being called daily to inform about the medical condition of their patient, but this call center has been specially set up from where the families of each patient would be briefed once a day of his/her well being.”
Mrs. Surbhi informed that the MBBS Interns have been deputed at this call center with two medical specialists who will be supervised by the principal of the medical college, Dr. Harjinder Singh and the medical superintendent of the hospital. Assistant Commissioner (UT) Dr. Nirmal Ouseppachan will also assist in it.
