Career counseling series concludes with valediction
ALIGARH : The Vice Chancellor of Aligarh Muslim University, Prof. Mohammad Gulrez urged the students to set a goal for their life and work hard to achieve it by excelling in the fields of studies of their choice. He said the requirements for various career options are changing fast according to the need of the job market and one has to be adaptive to create a suitable place for him or her in a highly competitive environment.
Prof Gulrez was addressing the students of higher classes from AMU schools at the valedictory session of a career counseling series organized by the Training and Placement Office (General), Aligarh Muslim University over the last several months.
He appreciated the efforts made by the Training and Placement Office for providing adequate support to the students in choosing and vying for a suitable position. He also felicitated the resource persons, principals of AMU schools, organizers of the counseling sessions and the volunteers.
Earlier, in his welcome address, Mr. Saad Hameed, TPO (General), spoke about the objectives of holding the career counseling series for AMU schools and expressed gratitude to the resource persons and the school principals for their corporation and support. He also presented a brief report on the counseling programmes organzing during the year 2023.
Prof. Syed Ali Nawaz Zaidi (Department of Law), along with Prof. Samina Khan and Prof Vibha Sharma (Department of English), highlighted the significance of organizing career counseling sessions for students, especially for the senior school students who are ready to enter the higher education arena according to their prospective career choices. They stressed the importance of self-discipline, time management and maintaining the mental and physical health.
Haida Zehra, a class X student from AMU ABK High School (Girls) shared her experience and benefits she gained from the career counseling session organized in her school.
The law student Syed Ahmad Nawaz Zaidi conducted the event while Akhil Kaushal, Imran Amir, Armaan Ali Khan and Aqib Khan coordinated the programme. Imran Amir extended a vote of thanks.
