Career enhancement programme at AMU Malappuram centre
ALIGARH : A group of 51 member students of the legal Aid Clinic, Department of Law, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) Malappuram Centre, Kerala visited the Kerala High Court, witnessed the court proceedings and interacted with the judges, under the career enhancement programme, organized in collaboration with the Legal Service Committee, High Court of Kerala.
Justice A. Muhamed Mustaque, Justice Anu Sivaraman, Justice C.S. Dias and Justice Kauser Edappagath, along with Member Secretary, Kerala Legal Service Authority (KELSA) interacted with the students and shared their experiences of a law student who later became a High Court judge. They also responded to students’ queries regarding court procedures, filing, internships and other related issues.
Dr Naseema P.K (Chairperson, Legal Aid Cell) initiated the court visit and Mr Mohsin Chauhan (Student-Incharge) coordinated the visit. Dr. Shaista Nasreen, Adv. MT Salam (Teacher in-charges LAC) and Advocate Neema Noor accompanied the students.
Meanwhile, the Language and Cultural Club, AMU Malappuram Centre organized a one-day workshop on Voice and Accent Neutralization conducted by Australia-based Dr Ameer Hassan, Chief Executive Director, Markaz Knowledge City, Kozhikode, who trained students on how to speak fluently with an impressive voice and accent neutralization. He engaged the students through live presentations and demonstrations on improving their accents.
Dr. Faisal K.P. (Director, AMU Malappuram Centre) urged the students to improve their English language skills as it was the basis of impressive communication.
Dr. Jameela T (Convenor) extended a vote of thanks while earlier, Dr Syed Hayath Basha (Joint Convenor) welcomed the foreign speaker.
