Career orientation programme held for M.Sc. students

ALIGARH  : The Department of Plant Protection, Aligarh Muslim University organized a one-day career orientation programme for M Sc students.

Addressing the students, Mr Saad Hameed (Training and Placement Officer-General, AMU) said that due to the lack of awareness and knowledge, students are not able to map up their career and as a result they fail to fit in job profiles or do not succeed in making a successful career in the field they chose.

He said placement is a by-product and the real challenge is to make the students aware of various career opportunities and prepare them for it.

Earlier, Prof P Q Rizvi (Chairman, Department of Plant Protection) welcomed the speaker and later proposed a vote of thanks.

Prof Rais Ahmad (Dean, Faculty of Agricultural Sciences), Prof Mujeebur Rahman Khan, Prof Iqbal Ahmad (Department of Agricultural Microbiology), Dr Rizwan Ali Ansari, Dr Ziaul Haque, Dr Syed Kamran Ahmad and Dr. Majhurool Hak Ansari and postgraduate students were present on the occasion.
