Catch the Rain campaign

Aligarh: Mohammad Umar Afzal, Anha Rahat Khan and Afifa Fatima won the online poster making competition of the Abdullah School, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) organised to implement the nation-wide ‘Jal Shakti Abhiyan: Catch the Rain, where it falls when it falls’ campaign launched by the Prime Minister for water conservation and for addressing challenges of growing water crisis.

Essay writing and slogan writing competitions were also held in the virtual mode on ‘World Water Day’ in compliance with the Government of India regulations on social distancing to curb the Covid spread.

“The campaign is bringing awareness on water conservation in school students through active participations. It will help to create rainwater harvesting structures at the grass root levels”, said Umra Zaheer, Superintendent, Abdullah School.
