CBC organises Outreach and Communication Programme on 9 Years of Good Governance in Doda

 

DODA : Central Bureau of Communication (CBC), Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, Field Office, Doda today organised a one day Integrated Outreach and Communication Programme on 9 Years of Seva Sushan & Garib Kalyan, Mission LiFE and EBSB here in Government Higher Secondary School Boys.

Deputy Commissioner, Vishesh Mahajan, was the Chief Guest of the Programme.

Addressing the gathering, Vishesh Mahajan said that the welfare schemes launched by the government aim to serve the masses, and people must come forward to get the benefits of these schemes.

While appreciating the role of CBC Doda, he said it is playing a crucial role spreading mass awareness about Welfare Schemes of Government of India.

Speaking on the theme 9 Years of Seva Sushan and Garib Kalyan, Mohammad Ashraf Wani, District Information Officer said that the wide range of initiatives & flagship Welfare Schemes of the government have immensely benefited the common man in different areas of life.

Talking about the development in district Doda, he said that the region is witnessing massive development with a host of mega projects which have greatly impacted the lives of people for good. “The initiatives of the government like PMEG, Tejwani, Doda Hub, Lavender Cultivation have scripted many success stories on the ground,” he added.

Suhail Ahanger from Jal Shakti Department, spoke on the scheme Jal Jeevan Mission, the main objectives and the achievements recorded in the district so far.

Afroza Bashir, while speaking on Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat, said that this programme led to the active interaction and sharing of culture, Art, customs and Traditions, Cuisine & heritage between the paired states for national integration and unity.

Earlier, Joint Director, CBC Jammu, Ghulam Abass, while welcoming the guests, gave a detailed overview of the functioning, structure and working of CBC, in the twin UTs of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh. He said that these programmes are being organized to enable the people to get benefits of various public welfare schemes of the government.
