Central University of Tamil Nadu Hosts Tourism and Hospitality Research Bootcamp 2023

Thiruvarur: Tourism and Hospitality department of the Central University of Tamil Nadu (CUTN), in collaboration with the DTORR (Destination Tourism Organization for Research and Revival), is conducting Tourism and Hospitality Research “Bootcamp 2023” from 3 – 7 October 2023. The event is brings together participants from various states and features 18 field experts from across India.
The boot camp, aims to promote knowledge exchange and enhance research in the field of tourism and hospitality. During the keynote address Prof. M. Krishnan, Vice Chancellor of the Central University of Tamil Nadu, emphasized the significance of tourism and urged young students and scholars to connect with the local elderly residents who possess a wealth of knowledge about the region’s history and culture.” He added that, “Thiruvarur, the venue for the boot camp, is renowned for its rich cultural heritage and is situated in close proximity to Vedaranyam, a historically significant location. This makes it an ideal setting for exploring the intricate relationship between tourism, culture, and history.”
Prof. R. Thirumurugan, Registrar of the Central University of Tamil Nadu (CUTN), has commended Tourism and Hospitality department for its exemplary efforts in spearheading diverse initiatives within the university. During the event, Dr. Ankathi Raghu, Head of the Department of Tourism and Hospitality Department, extended a warm welcome, while Dr. Raja expressed gratitude through a vote of thanks. The gathering also included senior faculty members including Prof. Sudha and Dr. Kavitha.
