Centre for Human Sciences at Rishihood University and National Sanskrit University, Tirupati jointly present “Avadhāna Saṅgama: Cultivating Cognitive Mastery”, A one of its kind four day Conference Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, September 10, 2023 – The Centre for Human Sciences (CHS) at Rishihood University and National Sanskrit University, Tirupati are thrilled to announce a groundbreaking conference on Avadhānakalā, titled “Avadhāna Saṅgama: Cultivating Cognitive Mastery,” taking place from the 11th to the 14th of September, 2023, in the enchanting city of Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh.
Prof. Sampadananda Mishra, Director Centre for Human Sciences Rishihood University mentioned: “This distinguished conference is organised as a part of the Avadhānakalā and Consciousness Studies project, generously funded by the Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) division of the Ministry of Education, Government of India. We are proud to collaborate with the National Sanskrit University Tirupati (NSU) to bring this transformative event to life.”
Avadhānakalā, an age-old cultural phenomenon in India, has, for centuries, remained a subject of fascination but has not received the comprehensive exploration it truly deserves. In an era where sustaining one’s attention for even a few moments can be a formidable feat, there exist individuals with exceptional abilities, distinguished by their unparalleled powers of concentration, creativity, focus, and memory. The key to unlocking this extraordinary capacity lies within Avadhānakalā, the ancient Indian art of multiple concentration.
Prof. G.S.R Krishnamurthy, honorable Vice Chancellor of NSU, Tirupati said: “The “Avadhāna Saṅgama” conference promises a diverse array of programs, including captivating Avadhana performances, illuminating lecture demonstrations, enlightening plenary sessions, and thought-provoking panel discussions.
