ALIGARH : The Centre for Skill Development and Career Planning, Aligarh Muslim University organized an orientation programme on “Importance of Entrepreneurial Skills and Development”.

In her address to the participants, the resource person, Prof. Asiya Chaudhary (Director and Convener, SURE℠ Workshop) discussed the techniques and skills required for the development of entrepreneurship. She highlighted the importance self-confidence, self-reliance and getting acquainted with the entrepreneurial culture.

She urged them to remain aware of various flagship schemes of the Government of India, like Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan, Startup India, Skill India, Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana, Make in India, Local for Vocal, etc.

She discussed in detail three vital areas – simplification and handholding, funding support and incentives and industry-academia partnership and incubation, for successfully running a start up.

Prof Naima Khatoon, Director of the Centre said that the orientation programme will meaningfully help the budding entrepreneurs who are taking training at the Centre.

More than 110 trainees enrolled in different professional courses participated in the programme.
