CEO Pulwama inaugurates Winter Camp exhibition at Central High School

 

PULWAMA: The Chief Education Officer (CEO) Pulwama inaugurated a District level Model Exhibition at Central High School, Pulwama in which the students from across the district participated.

The exhibition was part of the Winter Camp organized by Chief Education Officer, Pulwama for the students of elementary classes. Pratham Education Foundation (J&K) also collaborated in organising the exhibition.

Speaking on the occasion, the CEO said over the last two months, winter camps were established in different zones of the district in which students from both government and private schools benefited from free winter tuition.

He said the Winter Camp is a fun based learning project in which students are involved in extracurricular activities like model making, drawing, craft designing, drama, skits, presentation skills, group work etc.

It was informed that the competition was conducted in three stages. At the first stage, students participated at zonal level involving winter camps per zone. At the second stage, the students competed at District level and participated in the finals by exhibiting their talent in model making, drawing, craft etc.

The items showcased by the students were based on different themes including Math, Drawing, Craft, English, Social Science and Urdu.

The CEO also interacted with the participants and said the Department will continue to involve students in various extracurricular activities where they can showcase their talent. He said more such programs will be organized where a larger number of students will get a chance to participate.

He also appealed to the parents to boost the morale of their children by encouraging them in such activities and by taking active part in the programs organized in schools.
