CGC Landran Hosts Grand Celebration to Honor its Faculty on Teachers’ Day

Chandigarh: Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Landran celebrated its grand annual affair ‘Euphoria 2021- The Faculty Fiesta and Teachers’ Day’ with the exuberant participation by all the faculty members belonging to various departments. The celebration began with lamp lighting and a vibrant procession followed by stupendous performances by the faculties which included inspirational skits, traditional dance forms, devotional singing and a lot more. A Fashion Show by the Heads of distinct Departments stole the limelight as it was a pure exhibition of poise and flair.
The highlight of the celebration was honouring the faculty members for their incredible contribution towards academics, research, and innovation. A total of 218 faculty members of the the institute was bestowed with awards on merit for their unwavering efforts through the years 2020 & 2021 under five distinct categories namely ‘Certificate of Excellence’ for exceptional administrative work, ‘Certificate of Appreciation’ for outstanding contribution to academics, ‘Award of Special Achievement’ for filing patents and contribution in research and innovation, ‘Best Teacher’ and a special category of ‘Favourite Teacher’, which was done through student polling.
Appreciating the efforts of the team, Chairman Satnam Singh Sandhu and President Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal said, “We are wholeheartedly dedicated in fulfilling our motto of making CGC ‘the happiest place to work’ and it is truly commendable how our faculty adapted itself to the new normal amidst the pandemic. It is also highly appreciable that our faculty has raised crucial social concerns through their performances today which depicts how responsible and sensitive they are towards society. We are happy that the future of CGC is in safe hands!”
