CGC Landran wins overall second position at the IKGPTU Inter-College Swimming Tournament

The swimming team of CGC Landran made a grand splash at IKGPTU Inter-College Swimming Tournament held at GNDE, Ludhiana. CGCians clinched a total of 12 medals, securing the overall second position in the competition. The team bagged 5 gold medals, 2 silver medals and 5 bronze medals.

In a spectacular showcase of talent and determination, Vinay from CGC captured 5 gold medals in the 50, butterfly, 200m breaststroke, 200m freestyle and 400m free style events. He also won a silver medal in the 50m freestyle and a bronze medal in the 4x100m freestyle relay. Making their mark at the tournament, other members of CGC’s swimming team gave their best with Kapil clinching a silver medal in the 100m breaststroke and a bronze medal in the 200m breaststroke and the freestyle relay team comprising Gaurav Tiwari, Danish, Harshit and Vinay adding another broze medal in the 4x100m freestyle relay adding to the total medal haul.

The students expressed their happiness and extended their gratitude to CGC Landran and their coaches for their support in training and preparing for the competition. They added that this win was a team effort and that they all worked to push and encouraged each other to give their best.
